These little robins haunt forest clearings and are generally reclusive even during the breeding season. During the summers they frequent forests above 3,000 meters and descend lower during the winter. The robin is also found in China, Mongolia and Russia and its range in these northern areas is increasing noticeably with Great Britain and Alaska now within its range. Give it some decades it might even pop up in Canada.
