Himalayas 2.0.

Digitizing Mountain Travel in Nepal.

Himalayas 2.0 is a Dream: A Dream to create a new version of the Himalayas. As it stands now, if you try planning a trek to the Himalayas, it is challenging to find up to date and accurate information. Also, despite the sizeable amount of money trekkers spend in Nepal, guides, lodge owners, and porters still save so little.

What if we could bring all of the information on the Himalayas in an openly and freely accessible place so that you could run a trek on your own easily? Also, what if there were a way for trekkers to connect directly with local service providers like lodges, guides, and porters?

Himalayas 2.0 is the beginning of that dream. A more Transparent, Safer, and Empowered Himalayas.

Specifically, through Himalayas 2.0, we will

  1. WIKI: Start a wiki on all the major trekking trails in Nepal.
  2. MAP: Map out all the trails in the Himalayas and put in online for free.
  3. CONNECT: Help Local Service Providers get Online Bookings.
  4. PROMOTE: Create awe-inspiring visual content to make people want to go to those destinations.

For this, HoneyGuide needs passionate people who believe in this dream! So through the ‘Travel and Get Paid’ campaign, we are looking for Adventurous Content Writers and Videographers who can trek to the Himalayas and create kickass content to promote the potential destinations of Nepal.
