Another one of those butterflies with white and black bands. You will probably have to look closer to find the difference from those other black and white band butterflies. The edge of the wing has got white and black marks in a stitching pattern. It has a characteristic stiff gliding flight achieved by short and shallow wingbeats just above the horizontal. These flies are very common and can be found almost everywhere; they are indeed the sailors of the sky! Common Sailer or glider as they are more commonly known are acclaimed for their characteristic air flights. The whole wing is dark brown in color with three horizontal stripes across the length. The underside of the wings is orange in color with two or three white stripes crossing the length. These sailers are sun-loving and glide slowly across the sky in a relaxed fashion.
