These are the most common representative of the genus of Blues, small butterflies with various shades of blues on the top and lighter color on the underside. They are found throughout the year from the plains up to about 3,000 meters (10,000 ft). They are however more common in the Eastern Himalayas rather than the western part. These butterflies show seasonal dimorphism and the dry season brood has less prominent spots on the lower side of the wings.
