SURKE - The old lake

    Once believed to be a lake, Surke is a town built upon a fertile land and damp environment. Surke is situated on the bottom of the hill in a river bank. It is the last village and well preferred overnight stay before you meet the most popular trail section of Everest starting from Lukla. Just around the corner peak of Nupla(5,585 m) stands to remind you again about the majesty of nature.
