SIMALCHAUR - Silk Cotton Yard

  • 915 meters

Simalchaur literally means the Field of the Silk Cotton tree. The Silk Cotton Tree (Bombax ceiba) is a deciduous tropical tree famous for its showy red flowers during March-April and its fruit pods packed with 'cotton' which blows with the wind during May-June. Other than that little fact, there is very little this place has to offer and chances are you will pass this village as quickly as you enter it.
