White Wagtails are small dainty black and white birds. The area around their eye and abdomen is blotched in white and other parts are dark grey. They are social birds and are often seen migrating and foraging together with other species of wagtails. More often than not these birds are seen searching food in ground in damp places. It is called wagtail because it pulls its tail up and down as it flies around foraging for food.
