This flower, as its name suggests, blooms with large bell-shaped blue flowers (4 - 5 cm across). They grow all through spring and summer, die as winter approaches and are again reborn in spring from their rootstock. Their leaves (1.3 - 5 cm) are lanceolate and shallow-toothed with pinnate venation. Stems are hairless and flowers are defined with red inner rings. Root is especially useful for bone problems, stomach disorders, cough and cold and weakness.
