These guys are the most common squirrel of the Himalayas along with the Hoary- bellied Himalayan Squirrel which is found lower down. The are told from the similar Hoary-bellied Himalayan Squirrel by their flashy orange lower neck and belly. They also frequently come down to the ground level to feed and can be very tame.
