Hill Jezebel
Hill Jezebel (Delias belladona) is a wildlife & flora sighting recorded around Phedi, Bheri Kharka, Himalpani.

- Scientific name
- Delias belladona
- Category

Despite the historic negative connotation of the word Jezebel with overbearing and promiscuous women, someone did name a pretty butterfly just that. Whatever the intention, the jezebel is a colorful anomaly in an otherwise drably colored group which constitutes the whites and yellows. This particular species is one of the common ones and is found throughout the stretch of the Himalayas. Hill Jezebel is a beautiful black and yellow butterfly of the mountainous region. Its upper wings are spotted with yellow and white dots on a black background. And its underwings are painted with strokes of white along the edges of wings.
