These shrubs are regularly found in light forests, shrubberies and open slopes. The plant has a long stem (1 - 2 m) with a disc-like golden center out of which numerous ray-florets grow. Leaves (4 - 12 cm) are pointy on the edge, toothed on the outline and hairy beneath. If you look beneath the flower head you can find a bell-shaped cup which comes in handy to recognizing the plant in the wilderness.
