OLD KAGBENI - Preferably Kak Nyingba

  • 2,800 meters

The original name of this place is Kak Nyingba (Kak means "block") but nowadays is more commonly known as Eklebhatti which basically means "one tavern". This place of decent historical importance now being known as a place with a tavern to get drunk doesn't sit well with the locals. This place was the older settlement of Kagbeni and has a petroglyph site that is rumored to be 3000 years old. The petroglyph site is left completely abandoned and is very very easy to miss unless you decide to spend an hour looking for it. It's there but it's not there. Other than that there's nothing here except some lodges.
