Monjo is the last village before the Sagarmatha National Park and is quite a sight during late May when there is a profusion of pretty foxgloves. At the northern end of village is the ticket counter for the National Park along with a small Visitor Centre. The grandeur of rock formations in this area is a fitting tribute to the highest National Park in the world. The entrance gate or kani is however is a rather modest affair. Do acquaint yourself with the local divinities that adorn its walls.
