KONG MA PASS - The Supreme View

  • 5,535 meters

Kongma La means, “Tibetan Snowcock Pass”. At the altitude of 5535 m / 18159 ft, Kongma La is the highest amongst the three passes. With a stunning view of mountains, the pass involves a non-technical walk if it is free of snow. However, walking poles will come handy. The pass is covered with prayer flags just like every other pass. In addition, Kongma La is also full of beautiful glacial ponds and lakes. In a clear day you can see Nuptse,Lhotse, Imja Tse, Ama Dablam and multiple other peaks as if they are there to hug you, so close.
