KINJA - Song of Likhu

  • 1,646 meters

Kinja is a small village of a few teahouses and construction equipments. Situated in a narrow valley where the Likhu meets the Kinja River, this village is the gateway to Solukhumbu district, the homeland of the Sherpas.

In the northern side of the valley, the range of Numbur peak dominates the skyline. Nearby construction of a Likhu Hydropower keeps the town busy during days. There are few lodges which still accommodate travelers and tea houses always have food even if you are only passing by.
