Khudi is a hodgepodge affair of a town/village which has lost enough culture
to be called 'traditional' and hasn't yet gained enough exposure to be called
'modern'. In many ways Khudi is the stereotypical Nepali village in which
slate mixes freely with concrete, aspirin lives next to shamans and people
wearing Nike sneakers lament about the loss of cultural identity. On more
level plains, Khudi has some well-stocked shops, a health post, and some basic
lodges.
However, this place is important if you intend to take the higher homestay
route for this is where the trail separates. Looks out for the board that
points to the trail that climbs to the left from the dirt road.
