Khanti, Kobang, and Larjung are so close to each other that travellers fail to
realize that these are separate villages. There is only one gompa here by the
name of Narshyang gompa which is accessible after a 20 minutes uphill walk.
And in case we forgot to mention the Dal bhaat prepared by the Thakalis is
revered and relished throughout Nepal. Even in Kathmandu and Pokhara, there
are many Thakali restaurants that serve authentic Thakali Dal bhaat. And it
doesn't get more authentic than the Thakali village itself. Do try the dal
bhaat in any one of the Thakali villages. Then there is their local alcohol
made from naked barley (Uwa in Nepali) to flush it all down.
