DOLE - Spectacular Views

  • 4,050 meters

Dole is a small grassland just above the valley of streams. Very unlikely to how it looks, but the meaning of Dole basically means “many stones”. There are few lodges and camping sites here which, of course, comes with an astonishing view of Kangtega and Thamserku. Legend has it that the sunset over these peaks can hypnotize you temporarily meaning, these are just too good to be true. And, also if you walk up the valley the view extends to Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang. However, Dole is above the treelines so AMS is something you gotta watch out for. If you get any signs of a headache, nausea, loss of sleep take a proper rest and plan accordingly. Check out our guidebook and safety section for more information in AMS.
