CHISAPANI - Where the eyes greet the mountains!

  • 2,173 meters

Chisapani, a hilltop village that lies in the northern side of the Kathmandu Valley, is famous for its stupendous panoramic mountain views of the hill, of course! Be it a boon or a blight, the cool wind over here gracefully waits to cool you down after a tedious hike to the top of the hill. Well, it isn't the hardest climb but you will definitely see one of the best views ;) Chisapani has a number of lodges divided into two clusters. As you are coming in from Sundarijal, you will come across one cluster immediately after the Shivapuri National Park Ticket counter. The other cluster is a 5-minute walk down the dirt road. Most lodges here are simple affairs. Chisapani serves best to those people who have come to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city and dwell in the elegance of nature. Also, make sure to take a walk outside during the night to enjoy the stars!! Oh and the sunrise, the sunrise!!! Also note that from Chisapani, one can also reach, Nagarkot, Gosaikunda Lakes, and Sankhu through three different routes. So, if you want to hike further to those places, better make your gears ready!
