Chhapdanda village has an active homestay community. It is another
quintessential Gurung village with slate roofed houses. However, there are
also some mud and thatch circular houses too. While rare, these kinds of
houses also dot the Gurung settlements. A short walk around this village will
yield a monastery of a rather recent origin and what could be prehistoric
beekeeping logs or Ghoe Donth. As of this writing, there were only 5 houses
who had joined the homestay committee as such, it might be a good idea to call
in advance if you are planning to stay the night here. The phone number of the
chief of homestay Mr. Kul Prasad Gurung can be found in the lodges section.
