Annapurna Region

The Annapurna Region is a rather large and diverse area. It encompasses the foothills close to Pokhara, the snow-capped peaks around the Annapurna Base Camp, and the trans-Himalayan Region of Manang and Mustang. To respect this diversity, we need to divide the Annapurna Region into three distinct parts:

1. Annapurna Base Camp Region

This region includes not just the region around Annapurna Base Camp Trek, but all areas to the south of the Annapurna Massif, all the way from Kaligandaki River in the west to Marshyangdi River in the east. Some of the treks included in this region are the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, Mardi Himal Trek, Sikles Trek, Khopra Ridge Trek, and the Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek.

2. Annapurna Circuit Region

This region includes the region around the famed Annapurna Circuit and starts from the upper Lamjung, to all of Manang, Nar-Phu, lower Mustang, and upper parts of Myagdi. This region includes treks such as the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Annapurna Seven Passes Trek, Jomsom Trek, and, Nar-Phu Trek.

3. Upper Mustang Region

This region includes the area around the Upper Mustang Trek north of Kagbeni and all the way to the Nepal-China border at Kora La.
