ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP (ABC) - The Coliseum of Snow

  • 4,120 meters

ABC is another base camp that is no longer used by mountaineers as a base camp. The current location however was used in the 1970s as base camp by Chris Bonington's celebrated Annapurna South Face expedition. And the mountain views from here need no elaboration. Suffice it to say that is hands down one of the best along the entire stretch of the Himalayas. If the moon is up during the night we strongly suggest you brave the cold for a view that you will cherish for the rest of your life.
