- Scientific name

The name conehead has largely to do with the cone-shaped flowers and has got nothing to do with Dan Aykroyd in the movie Coneheads. The flowers are blue, paired or solitary in lax with leafy clusters. Flower tube is cylindrical, nearly straight or slightly curved with dark blue or mauve, rounded short lobes.
