The sunbirds are the hummingbirds of the Himalayas and this fire-tailed one is an absolute stunner. Despite all appearances, these guys migrate a lot. They breed in high-altitude shrubberies above the treeline and come down to broadleaved altitudes for the winter. And for its size, it can sometimes be pretty aggressive towards other birds. Their primary diet consists of nectar and insects.
