Yellow flax as the name suggests bears bright yellow flowers on a shrub that grows upto 1m tall. In the months of December or January you could witness lots of these flowers with wide open bright yellow petals. However these flowers are fugacious which means they last only for about a day and the petals wither off. These are then replaced by other flowers and so the beauty still remains. The root paste is applied to the boils and to the forehead in case of headaches and the root's juice is given to treat fever and indigestion.
