These dwarf plants are common to stream-sides and marshes of dry Tibetan borderlands. The flower of this plant is pink with a yellow eye (about 1 cm across) at the center. Its leaves are smooth, bright green and somewhat curved. Flower is carried on top of a short stem whose flower is based in a group of 4-6 petals. The leaves (5 cm long) that grow are small and are found to grow opposite to each other. This plant is suitable in moist cool place but rarely persists for a long time.
