Staff Sergeant

Almost all of the different species of this family are known as sergeants. The males have a huge white strip coming out of its abdomen on each side of its wings. Rest of the wing is colored dark brown. The underside of the male wings is light brown with patches of white stripes. Female is distinguished as they have three horizontal narrow stripes across the length of their wings. The same pattern is repeated on the underside with an overall brown color. These are swift fliers but can only cover short distances.
