A day in the life of this bird consists of hovering over water and locating shoals of fish passing by. After the target is acquired these birds plunge towards the fishes from mid-air and emerge with a fish in its beak. Easier said than done, the actual catching of a fish takes several trial and errors before it has had enough for the day. While not fishing, you can catch this guy in its favorite hangouts such as high banks or posts. These birds hatch their eggs on the ground floored with fish scales.
