Singu Chuli is also called fluted peak because of the steep ice slopes that make the ascent to the peak particularly difficult. It is categorized under trekking peak but a rather difficult one. The peak rises out of the northern ridge of the Tharpu chuli/ Tent peak. The climb is possible via North-East face, South ridge, South face and West face. The first successful ascent was made by the team of C.W.F Noyce and A.D.M Cox. This was also the very team that attempted the virgin peak, Machhapuchhre.
