The Sherpa's traditional staple diet is Rigikur or potato pancake. It is usually served with yak ghee and pickle. Syomar which comes from yak milk and tastes like liquid cheese is also frequently added to the pancake. The reason you will not see this item in the menu of most lodges is because making it is rather time consuming. Other traditional food of the Sherpas is Rilduk or potato dhindo. Dhindo is basically a very thick porridge which has the texture of dough. Also relishesd is bamboo shoots or tusa.
