The first look of Orange-bellied worm snake may startle us. However, as the name suggests, it has an orange belly which lies on the ventral surface. Only the dorsal surface of the snake is black colored. Being a species of Colubridae family, it is non-poisonous and only eats worms and insects. Also, its brown mottled tail with a conical tip can make one identify it.
