This is a non-migratory native bird of the Himalayas. Its belly is bright orange, black in green and its tail is blue with a long and curved bill. They are small colorful songbirds that spend their years on top of canopy trees. Males are much more exotic in color than the females. The leafbirds were named so because of their conspicuous back that blends well in their tropical habitat and makes for perfect camouflage.
