Its name translated to Three Snow-White Gods in Sherpa language and refers to its triple summit. It is one of the trekking peaks of Nepal. But all that the term trekking peaks means in Nepal is that the red tape to secure the permit is easier and is given by Nepal Mountaineering Association as opposed to the ministry. Most trekking peaks require full scale expeditions and mountaineering skills. You know it is the Himalayas after all!! The main summit was first scaled in 1981 by a Kiwi expedition.
