(Lho 6187m/Shar 6093m/Nup 6035m/Nupla 5885m) Kongde Ri is a trekking peak, but like other trekking peaks in Nepal don't expect to stroll to the top in running shoes. Trekking peaks in Nepal need some mountaineering skills and logistics of a full scale expedition. It is just that the bureaucracy to get the permits are more simplified. It is also considered to be one of the more difficult of the trekking peaks. It has four peaks named after directions, Lho means South, Shar means East and Nup means West. The main peak Lho was first climbed in 1975 by a Nepali team.
