These miniature dinosaurs are commonly found along the western Himalayas and keep to open rocky area along rivers. These agamas are the easternmost representative of their genera are have been recorded as far east as south of the Kathmandu Valley. Perhaps the reason these agamas haven't been able to go further east is because with higher rainfall in the east the foliage becomes distinctly dense. What this means for the agama is less area for sunbathing. Indeed even in their home range in the western Himalayas these guys keep away from forests, but being drier there are a lot more areas in the western Himalayas which offers sunbathing spots for these guys.
