House Sparrow

The humble sparrow, making its living next to us. While they do not have the exotic thing going for them, they are nevertheless fun little birds to watch. An interesting thing about sparrows and man is that in traditional houses in the Kathmandu Valley, people would leave small holes for these guys to nest in. However, in recent days with the advent of concrete houses, no such facilities are provided to these birds. Perhaps one of the reasons why their number is going down. Another interesting fact came to light in a DNA-based study in which it was shown that these little birds are highly unfaithful!
