Glassy Blue Bottle

This butterfly has an eye-catching pattern which cannot be missed. Its wings feature turquoise colored window-shaped pattern that gets broken down as we reach the corner of its wings. This butterfly has a sharp long tail as part of its hind wing. One particular behavior to note here is that this species extracts sodium and other minerals from water which they suck up. They then distribute this water into their body releasing the excess from their anus into the ground. This way, more minerals are dissolved faster and the butterfly can again repeat the same process. This way of feeding oneself is common in other species of the Graphium family.
