This log used for beekeeping, is hollowed from the inside and is later plastered at either end leaving only small openings for the bees. Be careful while approaching one of these logs. While no where near as aggressive as the larger Himalayan Cliff Honeybee, the Asiatic Honeybee that lives in one of these logs aren't all docile either. However, the bees that are traditionally used in these logs have very little commercial value, with a colony producing only 10-20 kg of honey in a year.
