If you manage to wander your eyes off from the beautiful Machhapuchhre and look towards its north along the ridge then you will see Gandharva Chuli. It sits right in between and is dwarfed by Machhapuchhre and Annapurna III. Situated in Annapurna Sanctuary and east of Modi Khola river Gandharva Chuli is on the permitted list as a peak that can only be attempted by foreign team if it forms joint expedition with Nepalis. Keeping the rules intact two Romanians Cosmin Andron and Cristina Pogacean along with 8 Nepalis that included porters and cooks recently made the first ascent in 2013.
