These birds are commonly found in the garden and outskirts of villages. It was once famously said "If the man has settled, then tailorbird has followed". These birds comfortably live around people and most people don't even know what they look like. However, everybody must have heard its call once, and once known, you will hear it again and again. They get their name because they delicately tailor their nests. The sewing is done using threads made out of cobweb, silk from cocoons and cotton. Using its beak, the bird pierces the leaf and draws the thread to make a knot.
