Common Blue Apollo
Common Blue Apollo (Parnassius hardwickii) is a wildlife & flora sighting recorded around Thukla, Lobuche, Pheriche.

- Scientific name
- Parnassius hardwickii
- Category
- Wildlife & Flora
These are butterflies of the high Himalayas. Their wings are white and bordered by grey and black stripes. Numerous small and large rings are seen to form throughout the space of the wing. Some of these rings are filled with red or blue color and other are left white. The description of the insect differs with season as the blue spots in the hind wing are reduced to mere dots and they seem to fly at lower altitudes with the coming of Autumn. The antenna on this particular species is short and their tips do not bend as is common in other butterflies.
