These plants have perfected the art of deception by becoming almost snake like. Does it succeed in scaring animals that would otherwise chew it for breakfast? Possibly. These guys have another unusual skill, that of sex change. Depending upon availability of nutrients, an individual plant can change its sex from year to year. There are many species of this plant and some of them are highly medicinal. There are some that even have anticancer properties.
