The silverlines are small butterflies that have evolved a curious defense mechanism. Their hindwings have long antenna and proboscis like elongations to divert would be predators away from the vital parts. Also upon settling on a flower or moist soil they waggle their posterior to assess the danger and if no attempt on their life is made, they settle down comfortably. Along the Himalayas these guys generally keep to the lower hills and are seldom found above 2,000 m (6,800ft).
