With Cholatse you have the opportunity to learn three Tibetan words in one go. Cho/Tso means Lake, La means pass and Tse means Peak. So what we have here is a Lake Pass Peak. It was first scaled in 1982 by an American team and in so doing they checked off the last of the named Peak in Khumbu.
