Black Drongo, also known as king crow, are found fluttering about in agricultural areas and light forest perching conspicuously on branches and power lines. Their nest is built high up in trees like Eurasian golden oriole. The cup-like nest is filled with four eggs at a time. Studies have found that these birds are fearless, aggressive and very territorial taking on much larger birds like crows and kites and winning. Because of their boldness, many smaller birds build their nest close to the nest of Black Drongo for various security reasons. This bird comes cloaked all in black and has a pair of fish like tail. These birds feed on grasshoppers, dragonfly, moths and larvae.
