Bhanjyang/ La

You will hear this word a lot while you trek or hike. So, it is good to know what Bhanjyang really means. When you want to get past a huge hill or mountain, it makes sense to go through the lowest part of the hill or the mountain. This is what Bhanjyang allows you to do. It is the lowest part of a hill or a mountain from where getting to the next side of the mountain is the easiest. You can call it a pass as well. It is also called "La" in the Tibetan Language and the word is used to signify high mountain passes. So, it is a La or a mountain pass in the higher elevation. Whereas, it is a Bhanjyang or a hill pass in the lower elevation.
