Barn Swallow

This bird has got some myth to it as it is referred to as the "Bird of Jesus". Following the myth, if you have any interest in entering the Gates of Eden, then you better follow this bird as the dude has got the pass to open the gate and go beyond. If you are not interested in what lies past the gate then just know that this bird is a summer resident. It has a reddish throat, blue-black breast and its long tail is forked. They are seen taking mud to build their nests and usually return to the same nest year after year. Sometimes they hire babysitters to look out for their children who are usually older siblings. However, these guys are very territorial and aggressively defend their nest even though they are communal nesters.
