Baraha Chuli or to foreigners, famous as Annapurna Fang because of the peak's resemblance with a fang of a snake was first successfully climbed by an Austrian team in 1980 via the west ridge from the south. Just prior a year to that in 1979, an attempt was made but it was unsuccessful and history books remained closed for those climbers. In the spring, various flowers and rhododendron trees make this trail very interesting.
