PHEDI - Steep Climb Ahead

  • 1,137 meters

Phedi which literally means 'foot of a hill' in Nepali is the roadhead for the steep climb to Dhampus. There are a couple of shacks and two lodges here if you need a quick bite. Also remember it is a good 2 hours to Dhampus from here, so it makes sense to do the needful. The trail starts right behind the Dhampus Mahini Hotel and is hard to miss. If it is spring, look out for Datura, the favored intoxicant of Lord Shiva, along the streambed here.
