Clean and well maintained lodge. The rooms are cleaner compared to other lodges on the way and in the vicinity. The food is also delicious. The shielded hallways and room definitely adds some warmth to the rooms and indoor area. The staffs are also very courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.

Namgyal Lodge in Machermo is your best bet to get a well deserved rest after a cumbersome day of hike. It is also a well suited place for acclimatization before the final push to the Gokyo Lakes. Food is great, rooms are clean and staffs are very friendly and helpful. It has been in operation since 1996.
